Ancient Rylanor, the Ancient of Rites of the Emperor's Children, makes his final stand deep beneath the burned world of Istvaan III. He is facing Fulgrim, the Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh.
He stands defiant, battered and half-buried in the ruins of a subterranean vault, his surviving honourable soul burning with hatred for the Traitors. Around him lie the bones of his long-dead loyalist brothers.
