Kling 3

Kling 3 is the latest generation of Kling's video models and the industry's first to offer native 4K (3840×2160) generation at the diffusion stage rather than via post-process upscaling. The lineup includes the core model with native 4K, multi-shot sequencing and synchronized audio, plus a Motion Control variant with character and motion references.

Kling 3.0 sets a new quality benchmark for the Kling family. Native 4K mode generates pixel-accurate 3840×2160 frames directly from the model — sharper textures, accurate film grain, and finer hair, fabric and skin detail than any upscaler can recover. Multi-shot sequencing renders up to 15 seconds containing several distinct cuts while preserving spatial continuity between camera angles, and Omni Native Audio generates lip-synced dialogue and ambience in the same pass as the picture (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish). Standard and Pro tiers balance budget and fidelity. The Motion Control variant adds character reference and motion reference inputs for tightly controlled appearance and movement.

Higher quality tiers generally offer better detail and consistency, but require more credits and generation time.

Best For

  • Native 4K cinematic delivery for theatrical screens, OTT and large displays
  • Multi-shot sequences up to 15 seconds in a single generation
  • Lip-synced dialogue and ambience generated in the same pass as picture
  • Physics-accurate scenes with complex motion
  • Controlled character and motion workflows

Strengths

  • Industry-first native 4K (3840×2160) generation, no upscaler required
  • Multi-shot sequencing with spatial continuity across cuts
  • Omni Native Audio: lip-synced voice and ambience in 5 languages, generated alongside video
  • 3D Spacetime Joint Attention for cinema-grade physics and motion
  • Standard and Pro quality tiers for budget flexibility

Limitations

  • Native 4K takes longer to render than 1080p
  • Motion Control variant requires reference uploads
  • No video-to-video editing mode (use Kling O3 Video Edit for that workflow)

Tips & Best Practices

Reserve native 4K for hero shots and final masters — draft at 1080p first for faster iteration.
Plan multi-shot prompts as a tiny shot list (Wide → Medium → Close-up) so the model preserves spatial continuity.
Enable Omni Native Audio for end-to-end video-with-sound delivery in a single step.
For the Motion Control variant, upload a clear character reference plus a motion clip to guide both appearance and action.
